Optional Activities and Tours - Monday July 27
 

Whitewater Rafting, Arkansas River

America's favorite stretch of whitewater, the classic Brown's Canyon.  A great trip for all ages and experience levels, Brown's delivers a dose of pulsing Class III whitewater, spectacular scenery, and a handful of the most well known rapids anywhere, including Zoom Flume, Pinball, and the Seven Stairs! Minimum age 7 yrs & 50 lbs.

Includes roundtrip transportation, life jackets, paddles, splash jackets, wet suits, helmets, lunch and service charges.

Attire: Clothing that dries easily - swimsuits, nylon shorts, polypropylene shirts, windbreakers (no cotton). Bring layers as it’s cooler in the morning.

Depart - Keystone resort 7:30 am – Return to resort by 3:00 pm

Fly Fishing

 

Colorado's high country has some of the best fishing in the world, and some of the "best of the best" is very near Keystone.  Fish the local hot spots with an experienced guide. Trout species include Brook, Cutthroat, Brown and Rainbow.

 

Fee includes a professional guide, rod, reel, and waders.  A Colorado fishing license is required for all anglers 16 and over.  A one day license is available for $9.00 and may be purchased at the fly shop. 

Meet at the Adventure Center in Lakeside Village

Time - 7:30 am - 12:00 pm

Price:  $200.00  Register Early!

Double B Memorial Golf Tournament

Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. to challenge golfers and offer the best views of the Continental Divide, Ten Mile Range and Buffalo Mountain.  The golf course opened in 1980 and has consistently ranked among the country's best golf courses since then.  Rolling hills and alpine lakes, once the site of a lettuce farm and cattle ranch, now serve as the challenging terrain for the 18-hole par-72 golf course.

Optional Activities and Tours - Sunday - July 26  

Hands-On Cooking Classes – Cajun Dinner

Join Executive Chef Steven Nguyen for a unique opportunity to learn how culinary experts prepare mouth-watering meals and become a chef in the making! Each participant will contribute to cooking a portion of the menu.  Walk away with a packet of great recipes to use upon your return home!

Cajun  Menu: Oysters Rockefeller, Louisiana Sunburst Salad, Cajun Fried Turkey Mango Relish, Baked Spiced Sweet Potatoes, Pears Bourbon Brown Sugar Syrup Glaze, Buttered Haricot Vert with Roasted Red Peppers, Pecan Pralines, Fresh Berries and Vanilla Ice Cream 

Keystone Conference Center Kitchen

Hands-On Cooking Class – Chocolate Creations

Each participant will be creating three special chocolate creations under the instruction of Executive Pastry Chef, Ned Archibald.  Ned will also provide participants with a packet of recipes and “how-to” instructions to take with them in addition to their creations.

 

Chocolate Menu:  The chocolate creations will include a flourless chocolate cake, a decorative chocolate box and a special chocolate dessert of the day.
