Optional Activities and Tours
 

 

Dollywood theme park is a one-of-a-kind Smoky Mountain Family Adventure! Spanning 125 acres and nestled in the lush foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, near Gatlinburg, Dollywood is one of the most popular family vacation destinations.

Enjoy thrilling to spectacular Dollywood amusement park rides including the award-winning wooden roller coaster The Thunderhead™-the wildest ride in the woods.  Dollywood's live entertainment showcases the best in country, bluegrass, mountain and gospel music with more than a dozen stage shows. Master craftsmen demonstrate centuries-old crafts including blacksmithing, glass blowing and wood carving.

Whitewater Rafting, Ocoee River

Site of the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games Whitewater Slalom Events, Ocoee River Rafting offers fast-moving currents, big waves, and rollicking Class III-IV action rushing through the heart of the Cherokee National Forest in eastern Tennessee.

This exciting raft trip begins against the roaring backdrop of white water falling down Ocoee dam. Paddle crews practice above the dam to get their teamwork in sync before carrying the raft down to the base of the dam and taking on Class IV Grumpy's.  Highlights include negotiating the major Class III and IV Rapids Table Saw, Broken Nose, Double Trouble, Double Suck, Hell Hole and Powerhouse. The Middle Ocoee is exciting whitewater rafting and is great fun for kids 12 to 80.

Depart resort 7:30 am – Return to resort by 3:30 pm

Fly Fishing Contest  - Tellico River  

Your licensed guide will introduce you to “Back Country”, fishing for natives. In these waters, the rare probability of catching Brown, Rainbow, and Brook trout in one trip –is a realistic goal. Anglers need to provide a Tennessee Fishing license with trout stamp. We recommend you bring sunscreen, a hat and polarized sunglasses, along with your fly fishing gear.

 

Depart resort 6:00 am - 1:30

Golf Tournament – River Island Golf Club

River Islands Golf Club was designed by internationally renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills. This spectacular course features numerous holes crossing or playing along the French Broad River. With four holes located on islands in the middle of the river, River Islands offers a truly unique golf experience.   Join us for our annual tournament!

Tickets and transportation for our Optional Group Activities may be limited and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.  Tours may require minimum participants and prices are subject to change.  We will notify you in advance of  cancellation and advise of additional tour options.
